BREAKING NEWS: New York Post Back Page Issues Bold Warning to NFL Team About Aaron Rodgers.giang

March 2, 2025 by giang Leave a Comment

With Matthew Stafford staying put in Los Angeles, the quarterback market has narrowed, and the New York Giants are now being linked to Aaron Rodgers as a potential solution for their ongoing quarterback dilemma.

However, not everyone is on board with the idea—including the New York Post, which issued a blunt warning to the Giants on its Saturday back page:

“DON’T EVEN DARE.”

The bold message came in response to reports that the Giants have discussed the possibility of bringing in Rodgers, who is already familiar with MetLife Stadium after spending the past two seasons with the New York Jets.

Giants’ Dilemma: Draft a QB or Gamble on Rodgers?

Rodgers, 41 years old and coming off an Achilles injury, remains one of the biggest wild cards in the NFL offseason. With the Giants holding the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they have a prime opportunity to select a young franchise quarterback, yet there is speculation that they might pursue a veteran instead—with Rodgers’ name now being floated as an option.

The move would be a massive gamble for a Giants team that finished 3-14 last season and lacked offensive firepower. Would adding Rodgers suddenly make them competitive in a stacked NFC? The Post doesn’t think so.

NY Post Column Shuts Down Rodgers-to-Giants Idea

In the accompanying column by Steve Serby, the tabloid pulls no punches, arguing that the Giants should steer clear of Rodgers entirely. The piece highlights:

  • Rodgers’ inability to turn the Jets around due to his injury and uncertain future.
  • The Giants’ need for a long-term solution at quarterback, not a short-term fix.
  • Doubts about whether Rodgers can still perform at an elite level at 41.

Essentially, the Post is urging the Giants to move forward, not backward—and to invest in youth over nostalgia.

Rodgers’ Future Still Uncertain

While speculation continues to swirl, Rodgers’ future remains undecided. The Jets have yet to officially release him, and while some contenders could be intrigued by his experience, it’s unclear how much demand there actually is for a soon-to-be 42-year-old quarterback coming off a major injury.

One thing is certain: Rodgers is still making headlines in New York. Whether it’s on the field or on the back page of a tabloid, his presence looms large over the city.

But if the Giants do take the risk and bring Rodgers into their fold, the New York Post’s message is loud and clear:

They better be ready for the consequences.
